Newsletter Q3 2026
Greetings to our members
As we move into the final quarter of the year, we want to take a moment to reflect on Quarter 3 and thank each and every one of you for your continued support and dedication to Raymond S. Doyon American Legion Post 69.
We hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable end to summer and a great start to the fall season.
Legion Family Meeting
Our September Legion Family meeting was a great success! Bringing together members of the American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, and Auxiliary gave us an excellent opportunity to strengthen communication, share ideas, and work together toward our common goals.
The strength of our Legion Family comes from working together, and we look forward to continuing that cooperation throughout the coming year and our next Legion Family meeting in May of 2027.
Congratulations to Our New Honorary Life Member
We would also like to recognize and congratulate Sam Smith Jr on being selected to receive an Honorary Life Membership in the American Legion.
This honor is a reflection of the dedication, service, and contributions made to our Post and its members.
Please join us in congratulating Sam and thanking him for his continued commitment to the American Legion and our community.
Looking ahead, we have several important and exciting events coming up:
Important Dates and Reminders
Veterans Day Ceremony – November 11th, 7pm in The Hall
As Veterans Day approaches, we encourage all of our Legion Family members, veterans, and community members to join us for our Veterans Day ceremony.
This is an important opportunity to come together as a community to recognize and thank the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. We hope to see a strong turnout as we honor their service and sacrifice.
Bunker 603 Gaming – November 14th, 1-5pm in The Hall
We are also looking forward to our upcoming Legion Gaming Event. This will be a great opportunity for members, family, and friends to come together, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend time with fellow members of the Legion Family.
Events like this are an important part of building camaraderie and keeping our Post active and connected. We encourage everyone to come out, participate, and help make the event a success.
Annual Kids Christmas Party – December 20th, 1-4pm in The Hall
The holiday season will be here before we know it, and we are looking forward to another great Kids Christmas Party. This is always a special event for our Post and an opportunity to bring some holiday cheer to the children and families in our community.
We encourage our members and Legion Family to participate and help make this year's event another success.
Auxiliary Craft Fair – December 12th
Please remember to support our Auxiliary as they prepare for their Craft Fair in December. Events like this are an important part of the work our Legion Family does to support our Post, veterans, and community.
We encourage everyone to stop by, support the vendors, and show our Auxiliary your support. Please bring family and friends and help make the event a success.
Looking Ahead
As we enter the final months of the year, there is still plenty of work to be done and many opportunities to come together as a Legion Family. Whether you're participating in an event, volunteering your time, attending a meeting, or simply supporting the Post, every contribution makes a difference.
Thank you once again for your continued membership, support, and dedication to Post 69.
Very Respectfully
Keith
